The Singaporean Foreign Ministry confirmed it will host the US-North Korea summit and said it hopes the event will boost the peace progress on the Korean peninsula.
The same day, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe telephoned President Trump to discuss preparations for the Summit. Mr. Abe applauded North Korea’s cooperative gestures and congratulated President Trump on Pyongyang’s release of 3 American citizens.
