The decision comes as the Trump administration steps up deportations and tightens immigration controls, including revoking visas and green cards and rejecting asylum applications.
The administration said Tuesday that it was preparing to revoke the visas of up to 200,000 foreigners who have applied for or are seeking asylum in the US, a move that would represent the largest mass visa revocation in US history.
