The statement came a day after President Trump criticized Ukraine for attacking Russian oil refineries. Trump said the world’s diesel price rise is mostly caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, not Iran.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier told reporters that Russia does not rule out holding trilateral talks on Ukraine in October. When the venue and the date of such a meeting are agreed, President Vladimir Putin will determine who will head the Russian delegation, said Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, adding no package of proposals had yet been agreed because each side is pursuing its own priorities.
Abu Dhabi has been discussed as one possible venue for trilateral Russia-US-Ukraine talks, and Türkiye and other countries also confirmed their readiness to host the negotiations, Ushakov said. He added a large number of issues still need to be agreed on before a trilateral meeting.
