Vice President hopes Operation Smile can bring smiles to children with birth defects

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will coordinate with, and create favorable conditions for Operation Smile to bring happiness and smiles to children with birth defects across the country, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh said at a reception for Operation Smile’s President Kathy Magee in Hanoi on Monday.

Ms. Thinh, who is Chairwoman of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) Sponsorship Council, said she hopes Operation Smile will provide comprehensive treatment programs for children, and develop phonetic therapy projects for children who have had cleft palate surgeries.

Magee said she hopes the two sides will continue organizing support programs for children and sharing information about children who need help.
