During the visits, the leaders of Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines agreed to establish new mechanisms reflecting political trust and deeper cooperation, while comprehensively promoting dynamic and effective ties with the three countries through Party, State, National Assembly, and people-to-people exchange channels.

The visits enhanced connectivity between Vietnam and these countries, as well as other ASEAN member states, while fostering breakthrough cooperation in areas such as defense-security, economy, trade, investment, science, technology and innovation, culture, education and training, tourism, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital economy, green economy, just energy transition, e-government, and local connectivity.

A major highlight of the trip was General Secretary and President Lam’s keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue, one of the Asia-Pacific region’s most influential security and defence forums, attended by approximately 500 delegates from more than 40 countries. His remarks on international and regional peace and security clearly articulated Vietnam’s views on the current global situation, the challenges facing the international community, and a number of important proposals and recommendations. It reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of attaching importance to relations with neighbouring countries and ASEAN members, while highlighting its proactive, responsible and constructive role in strengthening ASEAN unity, reinforcing the bloc’s centrality, and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
