The event was supported by the Vietnam National Industry–Energy Group (Petrovietnam) and brought together representatives from central and local government agencies and international organizations, along with leading experts in energy, environment, and industry, as well as businesses, investors, and financial institutions from Vietnam and abroad.
The forum focused on key issues shaping the future of hydrogen, including global development trends, Vietnam's hydrogen policies and strategic direction, technologies for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization, as well as the development of a hydrogen value chain, investment opportunities, international cooperation, and solutions to accelerate the transition toward a zero-emission industrial economy.
Participants noted that hydrogen—particularly green hydrogen—is expected to become a cornerstone of future energy systems. Developing a comprehensive hydrogen value chain will not only enhance Vietnam's energy security but will also attract investment, foster technological innovation, improve national competitiveness, and support Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
