He told the EU Parliament’s International Trade Committee delegation in Hanoi on Thursday that Vietnam considers the EU an important partner and wished to promote comprehensive cooperation, especially in trade and investment. The Committee Chairman, Bernd Lange pledged the EU support for Vietnam in trade issues towards the effectiveness of the free trade deal. The same day, Prime Minister Phuc welcomed international investors visiting to Hanoi to join the annual Investor Conclave led by Standard Chartered Vietnam, 5 ASEAN countries and South Asia CEO, Nirukt Sapru. The Prime Minister pledged the government’s support for investors and called for their interests in Vietnam’s equitization of State owned enterprises. Mr Sapru praised the Vietnamese government’s efforts in improving the business and investment environment and expected more support for investors in Vietnam.
