The forum aims to strengthen institutional and technological capacity while opening up new business and investment opportunities.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Vu Le Thai Hoang highlighted that Vietnam is entering a phase of rapid and sustainable development driven by science and technology, with digital transformation and innovation as key growth engines.
He noted that Austria possesses strong expertise in cybersecurity, with AIT leading major EU cybersecurity competence networks and working closely with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on nuclear cybersecurity. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s dynamic digital economy and strong political commitment provide a solid foundation for moving from dialogue to concrete action.
Austrian Ambassador Philipp Agathonos emphasized that a secure digital environment is essential for economic growth and social stability. He also praised initiatives such as the International Digital Security Forum (IDSF) and EU cooperation programs as important platforms for expanding Austria–Vietnam collaboration.
