The appeal was made by Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, at the 2026 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held in New York from Monday to Wednesday.

Mr. Luu said that, with only four years left to deliver the 2030 Agenda, the international community must take more decisive action to realize the SDGs.

Highlighting innovation as a key driver of sustainable development, the minister counsellor spotlighted Vietnam's efforts to advance digital transformation, green growth, renewable energy, and climate resilience.

He said Vietnam is stepping up investment in strategic infrastructure, human resources, and institutional reforms to improve productivity and ensure that the benefits of development are shared by all.
