General Giang proposed that the two sides continue to effectively maintain high-level exchanges and existing cooperation mechanisms, including the annual meeting of the defense ministers of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos; joint search-and-rescue exercises among the armed forces of the three countries; and the Vietnam-Cambodia Deputy Ministerial Defense Policy Dialogue.
He also called for stronger cooperation in personnel training, border management and protection, as well as closer coordination in the search, recovery, and repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during past wars.
General Prak Sovanna reaffirmed Cambodia’s readiness to continue working closely with Vietnam in locating, recovering, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts who sacrificed their lives in Cambodia during wartime.
