Trade has risen strongly in recent years, supported by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and complementary economies, making Vietnam Canada’s largest trading partner in ASEAN, he said.
The two countries also cooperate closely at forums including the United Nations, APEC, ASEAN and the Francophonie. Ambassador Quang said Party General Secretary and President To Lam’s upcoming State visit to Canada would help deepen practical and sustainable cooperation, opening a new chapter in bilateral ties and contributing to peace and stability in the region and beyond.
