Responding to a reporter’s question on Thursday about measures to ensure fuel supply amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Hang said the Government has been implementing coordinated measures to safeguard national energy security and prevent shortages for production, business and consumption.

Vietnamese authorities and fuel import-export businesses are working closely with foreign partners to ensure the full and timely implementation of long-term supply contracts. This is seen as a key solution to stabilizing supply and minimizing the impact of unpredictable fluctuations in the global energy market, she said.

In addition, Vietnam is actively engaging with multiple partners to diversify fuel sources and avoid dependence on any single market. Relevant agencies are closely monitoring global and regional developments to promptly propose appropriate response measures, she added.
