The meeting took place as part of NA President Man’s official visit to China, during which he will co-chair the second session of the cooperation committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and China’s National People’s Congress (NPC).
Both sides agreed to work more closely in multilateral forums and support each other in hosting APEC in 2026 and 2027. They also pledged to better manage differences and help maintain peace and stability at sea and in the region.
NA President Man called for continued exchanges at all levels, stronger cooperation in defense, security, and economics, and greater mutual support for each country’s development and enhanced standing on the international stage. He asked China to facilitate greater access for Vietnamese agricultural products to its market and urged effective implementation of the Vietnam-China Year of Tourism Cooperation.
He emphasized the crucial role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the CPPCC National Committee in building public support for bilateral ties. It is essential to promote people-to-people exchanges and communication on friendship between the two countries, he said.
Chairman Wang called for closer cooperation at all levels and through all channels, effectively implement plans on high-level exchanges, and make better use of the “3+3” strategic dialogue mechanisms on foreign affairs, national defence and public security and the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation.
He said both sides should strengthen exchanges of experience in Party building and national governance, while expanding cooperation in smart border gates, cross-border economic zones, artificial intelligence, and the digital and green economies.
Mr. Wang said China is ready to import more Vietnamese agricultural products and encourage Chinese businesses to invest more in Vietnam. He called for more people-to-people exchanges, especially among young people, and closer cooperation in tourism, education, culture and local exchanges.
