During the talks, Mr. Man and Mr. Zhao agreed to elevate substantive bilateral cooperation to a new level. Key areas of focus include promoting balanced and sustainable trade growth, high-quality investment, and seamless, modern railway connectivity; boosting cooperation in science and technology; and strengthening local-level cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and collaboration in education, culture, and tourism.

They also agreed to enhance multilateral coordination, effectively manage the land border, better control and resolve differences, and maintain peace and stability at sea. The two sides also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between their respective legislative bodies.

Following the talks, National Assembly President Man and NPC Standing Committee Chairman Zhao co-chaired the second meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China.

The two sides focused their discussions on aligning development strategies, science and technology, social governance, and consolidating the social foundation; as well as measures to enhance the role of the supreme legislative bodies in policy and law-making, aligning institutions and planning, and creating a favorable legal framework for cooperation.

They stressed the need to exercise supreme oversight to promote the implementation of cooperation agreements and commitments in key areas, such as the synchronous connection of strategic infrastructure and development spaces; the advancement of science, technology, and innovation; digital transformation; artificial intelligence; smart urban governance; and cooperation in culture, tourism, high-quality human resource training, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both leaders agreed to task the specialized committees of the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China with coordinating closely with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities of both countries to earnestly implement agreements and high-level common understandings, thereby deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and building a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future that carries strategic significance.
