On Sunday morning, at October 30 Square of Ha Long Ward, Quang Ninh City held a launch ceremony for the Great National Unity Culture Week for 2026, drawing more than 20,000 people, who were joining both at the central venue and via online links from communes, wards, and special districts.

The event marked the beginning of a series of programs celebrating "Vietnam Culture Day" (November 24) and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18). It aims to foster national pride, strengthen social consensus, and uphold the role of the people as the primary agents in building an advanced Vietnamese culture deeply rooted in national identity.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh City, emphasized that the Fatherland Front and its affiliated organizations will continue to serve as a core force. By leveraging the power of "great national unity" as a foundation, they aim to build happy communities and support those in difficult circumstances, transforming the Great National Unity Festival into a democratic forum for listening to the voices of the people.

Throughout the week, Quang Ninh will host 19 city-level activities alongside 54 local events across its communes, wards, and special districts with a focus on the people and a lasting and positive impact on social life.
