At a hybrid national conference on Monday in Hanoi, Deputy PM Tra said linking Vietnam Culture Day with the Great National Solidarity Festival on November 18 would create a week of activities running from November 18 through 24. The pairing is particularly meaningful, she said, because culture nurtures national identity, while solidarity helps preserve and promote cultural values.

“Localities must make the fullest use of cultural spaces by mobilizing museums, libraries, theatres, heritage sites, cultural and sports facilities, and tourist attractions, extending opening hours, and offering appropriate fee exemptions or discounts, especially on November 24,” said Madam Tra, adding, “Substantive results, broad public engagement, and lasting value must be the key measures of success. After the festival, stronger community bonds, shared cultural values, and positive cultural models, and lifestyles must be sustained and promoted.”

Highlights will include a national conference on culture, a special arts program, an exhibition on the development of Vietnamese culture, a film week, and the launch of the Digital Map of Vietnamese Culture.
