Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh attended the ceremony.
Over six decades, the museum has become the country’s leading fine arts institution, preserving and promoting Vietnam’s artistic heritage through a collection of more than 21,000 artworks and artifacts, including nine National Treasures.
The museum has also led digital transformation efforts in the cultural sector, launching innovations such as the iMuseum VFA multimedia audio guide and VAES, Vietnam’s first online art exhibition platform. These initiatives earned it the Vietnam Digital Transformation Award in 2021 and 2024.
A special exhibition featuring works acquired between 2016 and 2026 opened as part of the celebrations.
On this occasion, the museum was also awarded the third-class Labor Order.
