The gaming industry has been identified as one of Vietnam's 6 key cultural industries and is receiving priority development policies and tax incentives, said Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information and head of Vietnam GameVerse's organizing committee.
“For the first time, all 5 major stakeholders that can make Vietnam’s gaming ecosystem possible have come together. They are the State, game developers, game publishers, educational institutions, and the esports industry. Vietnam’s gaming industry now has all the right opportunities and conditions to accelerate its growth,” he said.
“Through Vietnam GameVerse 2026, I hope our international partners and friends can learn more about Vietnam and our gaming industry, cooperate, invest, and grow together with us. As for Vietnamese game companies, this is a major opportunity and you should seize it.”
Vietnam GameVerse was first held in 2023. This year's theme is "Do Local, Go Global". A number of major international cooperation agreements have been signed, including an agreement for Vietnam to host the annual SEA Esports Nations Cup. These partnerships aim to help Vietnam become a leading destination for the global gaming industry.
