During the Political Consultation between the Foreign Ministries of Vietnam and Ghana, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Anh Tuan and Ghanaian Deputy Foreign Minister James Gyakye Quayson briefed each other on the latest developments in their respective countries, reviewed bilateral cooperation, and discussed measures to further strengthen ties and coordinate positions at international forums.

Mr. Tuan proposed expanding and diversifying bilateral trade, establishing mechanisms for exchanging market information, policy updates and business opportunities, and accelerating the appointment of honorary consuls in each country.

He also called for negotiations and the signing of key economic agreements, including treaties on the avoidance of double taxation and the promotion and protection of investment.

On behalf of their respective governments, the two officials signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
