The first leg of the Miss World 2026 journey is taking place until next Thursday at Dragon Ocean Do Son in Hai Phong city, where contestants are competing in talent, sports, chef beauty, and top model challenges. At a press conference in Hai Phong, Julia Morley, Chairwoman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, shared her expectations for this year’s pageant.
“Here it's very similar to what we have in the United Kingdom. It's a place where people can come and relax. It's a wonderful resort, and I hope that by being here with Miss World, we will encourage tourists from all over the world to come and enjoy what is here. I would like to applaud you and thank you for this opportunity to share with the rest of the world this wonderful place. I don't usually give a reference when I'm speaking, but this has really taken my heart,” said Morley.
Miss Panama 2026, Madeline Miller, said she was impressed by Vietnam’s hospitality and the warm welcome extended to contestants.
“I'm so excited to be here and so happy to be in Vietnam. I feel so happy because the people here are so warm and welcoming. I feel very welcome. It's my first time in Asia, and I'm so happy that Vietnam is my first country to visit. I've heard a lot about how good the food here is. And yes, when I had lunch, I tried some local dishes, and they were really good and very healthy, too. And I really love it. Thank you for being so welcoming. I'm having an amazing time here at Miss World 2026,” said Milller.
Following the Hai Phong leg, the Miss World 2026 journey will continue on to several other places in Vietnam before culminating in the grand finale, scheduled for September 5 in Khanh Hoa province.
