The event was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in India, the Centre for Vietnam Studies, and the India Foundation.

Vietnamese products that have established a strong presence in India include footwear, textiles and garments, seafood, coffee, wood products, rubber, carpets, and electrical and electronic products. Participants recommended that Vietnam and India strengthen their dialogue on standards, explore mechanisms for mutual recognition of testing results, and establish an early-warning system for new regulations to help businesses adapt proactively.

They said that, if bottlenecks related to technical standards, procedures, and distribution are removed, the aim of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 25 billion USD by 2030 could become a reality.
