The Deputy Prime Minister called on Japan to support Vietnam in training high-quality personnel in strategic sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology.
He also proposed accelerating the implementation of the Japan–Vietnam Development Scholarship Program (JDS) and the ASEAN–Japan NEXUS initiative, while expanding cooperation in innovation, digital transformation, and scientific research.
Minister Matsumoto reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to cooperation in AI and semiconductors, announcing plans for a semiconductor symposium at Vietnam-Japan University in September and continued joint training and research programs.
