The Vietnamese diplomat addressed the second regular session of the Executive Board of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), held in New York on Wednesday and Thursday.

Luu highlighted Vietnam’s achievements in promoting gender equality, noting that 13 of the 20 targets of the national strategy on gender equality were met or exceeded by 2025.

He said Vietnam hopes that support from the UN, especially UN Women, will continue to closely align with its national priorities and practical needs within the framework of Vietnam–UN cooperation for the 2027–2031 period.
