Vietnam, Laos foster public security cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Laos’s public security forces need to maintain close cooperation to thwart efforts to drive a wedge in their solidarity, President Tran Dai Quang said at a reception for Lao Deputy Minister of Public Security Kongthong Phongvichit on Tuesday.

President Quang applauded security and defence cooperation between the two counties, saying the two public security forces need to immediately tackle security issues in each country and stop drug trafficking across borders.

The Lao Deputy Minister said he hopes co-operation between the two Public Security Ministries will continue.
