He called on BRICS to play a greater role in promoting dialogue and cooperation, building trust, addressing global challenges and advancing reforms of the multilateral system to better reflect the interests of developing nations.

PM Hung proposed that BRICS move beyond merely responding to global fluctuations and instead focus on enhancing the resilience and self-reliance of economies, preventing crises and proactively addressing shocks, particularly in the economic and financial spheres, as well as other cross-border challenges.

He urged the grouping to shift from simply expanding cooperation to renewing traditional growth drivers while fostering new, inclusive and sustainable engines of growth.

In addition, he called for transforming opportunities in science, technology and innovation into concrete programs and projects, especially in areas with broad spillovers such as artificial intelligence, digital technology, smart agriculture and clean energy.

The Vietnamese leader affirmed that Vietnam stands ready to work with BRICS in a spirit of responsibility, goodwill and practical cooperation to help build a future of peace, prosperity, and sustainable and inclusive development for all nations.
