At a meeting with RoK President Lee Jae Myung in Hanoi on Thursday, Chairman Man noted that cultural and sports cooperation is increasingly becoming an important bridge connecting the two nations, and welcomed efforts to expand collaboration in areas such as e-sports and other sports that promote public health and solidarity.

President Lee Jae Myung expressed his hope that the Vietnamese National Assembly will continue to support and facilitate stable, long-term investment by Korean enterprises in Vietnam. He affirmed that the RoK will pursue comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam in infrastructure, transport, and energy as well as future industries such as science and technology, intellectual property, artificial intelligence (AI), and cultural industries.

Both sides highly appreciate the close relationship between the two legislatures, noting its positive contribution to strengthening the Vietnam–RoK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

They agreed to further deepen cooperation through maintaining high-level exchanges and engagement between specialized committees, enhancing oversight roles, and promoting the implementation of bilateral agreements. These efforts will help reinforce the political foundation, promote deeper and more sustainable economic cooperation, enrich cultural and sports exchanges, and unlock the full potential of cooperation in investment, technology, and other key sectors for the benefit of both peoples.

President Lee also greatly appreciated the important role and contributions of the Vietnamese community in the RoK.

He agreed with Chairman Tran Thanh Man's proposal to continue supporting and protecting their legitimate rights and interests, and said the RoK will consider measures to simplify visa procedures for Vietnamese citizens.

At the same time, he called on the Vietnamese National Assembly to continue supporting and creating favorable conditions for the Korean community and Korean businesses operating in Vietnam.
