Chairman Volodin affirmed that Russia attaches great importance to its relations with Vietnam, stressing that the State Duma and its political forces support efforts to further consolidate and develop the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Party leader and President Lam reaffirmed that Vietnam highly values its traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia, considering the country one of the leading partners in its foreign policy.
He proposed strengthening cooperation between specialized committees, parliamentary friendship groups, young parliamentarians and women parliamentarians, while expanding exchanges of experience in legislation and oversight.
The two sides agreed to enhance the role of their legislatures in creating favorable legal frameworks for long-term energy cooperation projects, promote the sharing of experience in energy policy and legislation, and strengthen human resources training.
They also agreed to step up coordination between the two parliaments at regional and international parliamentary forums, while continuing consultations and coordinating positions on issues of mutual concern.
