During his meeting with Ambassador Johan Ndisi, General Phan Van Giang affirmed that Sweden is one of Vietnam’s leading partners in Northern Europe and noted that there is significant potential for bilateral defense cooperation. He expressed hope that the ambassador would continue facilitating cooperation between the two defense ministries, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding, training cooperation, and defense industry collaboration.
Ambassador Johan Ndisi reaffirmed Sweden’s commitment to working closely with Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence to further deepen practical and effective bilateral relations while exploring additional areas of cooperation based on the interests and needs of both sides.
At a meeting with Ambassador Azeddine Bechka, General Giang proposed continued support for expanding defense cooperation between Vietnam and Algeria, including the study of a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation and collaboration in training, historical research, defense industry, and logistics and technical services.
Ambassador Azeddine Bechka expressed Algeria’s desire to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation across multiple areas and pledged continued efforts to deepen the substantive and effective partnership between Vietnam and Algeria.
