Meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Hung said the Vietnamese government will direct ministries and agencies to rapidly implement the outcomes of Party leader and State President Lam’s recent state visit to Russia, turning them into concrete and practical programs.
President Putin said he is confident the agreements advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
The presidents of Indonesia and the Philippines, the Malaysian Prime Minister, and PM Hung agreed to continue their close coordination and contribute to the success of ASEAN Year 2026 under the Philippines’ chairmanship.
PM Hung also met Burundi President Évariste Ndayishimiye, received Saudi Arabia’s delegation led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and met UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who praised Vietnam’s growing role and standing and said he hopes Vietnam will continue to play an active role in promoting multilateralism and addressing global challenges.
World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus welcomed Vietnam’s new policies to develop its healthcare system and said the WHO is ready to work with and support Vietnam in achieving its healthcare goals and socio-economic development targets.
