At a working session on Wednesday with the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission on personnel affairs, Mr. Lam stressed the need for a thorough assessment of the quality of officials following planning, training, appointment and deployment processes.
He said that by 2030, Vietnam should achieve fundamental and substantive improvements in personnel work, while establishing a solid foundation in institutions, job-position frameworks, evaluation mechanisms, data systems and workforce governance.
“It is essential to comprehensively improve Party regulations and State laws, clearly define the authority and responsibilities of each level and stakeholder, and reduce overlaps and unnecessary procedures. Cadre data must be accurate, complete, clean and continuously updated, while ensuring security and verification,” said Party leader and President Lam.
