Vietnam treasures defense ties with Myanmar

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam attaches importance to its defense ties with Myanmar, said Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh at a reception in Hanoi on Monday for outgoing Myanmar military, naval and air force attaché Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo and newly-accredited attaché Brigadier General Aung Zeya.

Mr. Vinh said the Vietnamese Defense Ministry will always create favorable conditions for Aung Zeya to fulfill his assigned tasks. He spoke highly of Aung Kyaw Oo’s contributions to boosting Vietnam-Myanmar defense ties during his tenure.
