At a meeting with William Macclellan Thornberry, Chairman of the US House Armed Services Committee, Mr. Ty said Vietnam wanted to strengthen and deepen the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership. Mr. Thornberry said that the US would work more effectively in disaster relief, mine clearance, and detoxification of Agent Orange/dioxin in Vietnam.
