Vietnam welcomes 4.2 million foreign visitors in first quarter

(VOVWORLD) - The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam in the first quarter of this year is estimated to reach 4.2 million, 31% more than last year, according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO).

Visitors from Asia are reported to hit 3.3 million people, up 37%. Other visitors came from Europe, America, Oceana, and Africa.

Vietnam is expected to welcome up to 17 million foreign visitors this year.
