Ve said he believes the Chiefs of Police Summit will maximize the values of the UN police forces, contribute to securing peace and addressing security challenges, maintain social order at the national and UN level, and increase the exchange of experience and information among member and partner countries.

The Vietnamese official affirmed that Vietnam is preparing necessary conditions including training for its staff to send them to UN peace-keeping missions. To date, more than 30 Vietnamese military officers have participated in peace-keeping activities in South Sudan and Central African Republic.
