This prestigious honour recognises the dedication, compassion, and heroism of those who, despite numerous difficulties, have devoted their efforts to providing humanitarian assistance and relief in Venezuela.
On the sixth day of operations in the field—more than 10 days after the earthquake struck—the team continued to work under mounting pressure caused by severe environmental pollution. The Vietnamese rescue team has recovered the bodies of 57 victims and helped return and relocate many belongings for local residents. They have also assisted about 500 households that lost their homes and are facing extremely difficult circumstances. More than 360 kg of canned meat, 100 cartons of milk, nearly 50 cartons of instant noodles, along with a large quantity of blankets, clothing, and epidemic prevention supplies, have been distributed to affected people.
