The Vietnamese contingent was coordinating with other international search forces to locate and hand over 12 locations suspected of containing trapped victims to the Venezuelan authorities for further operations.
With the latest recovery efforts, the Vietnamese personnel have recovered a total of 30 earthquake victims from the disaster site. During the day, they continued providing free medical examinations and medicines for local residents.
On the same day, Major General Pham Van Ty, head of the Vietnamese contingent, met with rescue teams from Cuba and Turkey to share experience gained during relief operations.
