At a reception on Saturday for outgoing Bangladeshi Ambassador Mohammad Lutfor Rahman, Mr. Lam called for stronger high-level and other-level exchanges, the maintenance of bilateral dialogue mechanisms, and greater economic and trade cooperation. He said more than five decades after establishing diplomatic relations, Vietnam-Bangladesh ties continue to develop steadily, marked by strong political trust and mutual support at regional and international forums.
Ambassador Lutfor Rahman affirmed his continued commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expressed Bangladesh’s wish to deepen relations with ASEAN. He said Bangladesh shares ASEAN’s and Vietnam’s views on regional issues.
