Receiving Palestinian Ambassador Shadi Abu Zarqa, the Vietnamese leader reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent support for the Palestinian people’s just cause and expressed hope that the ambassador would make active contributions to strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Palestine during his tenure.

At a meeting with Czech Ambassador Lukáš Kaucký, Mr. Lam called on the two sides to closely coordinate in effectively implementing high-level agreements, deepening their new cooperation framework in a substantive and effective manner, while tapping their potential and expanding cooperation into new areas.

Receiving Danish Ambassador Lina Gandløse Hansen, the Vietnamese Party and State leader called for stronger political ties and greater economic, trade and investment cooperation. He urged effective implementation of the Green Strategic Partnership and expanded cooperation in energy, the maritime economy, science and technology, innovation, green transition and digital transformation.

At a meeting with the Republic of Korea’s ambassador, Mr. Lam affirmed that Vietnam places great importance on its relations with the Republic of Korea and wishes to work together to further develop bilateral ties in a substantive, effective and sustainable manner across all areas.

Receiving Malaysian Ambassador, Mr. Lam reaffirmed Vietnam’s high regard for cooperation with Malaysia and expressed his wish to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

He voiced his confidence that the ambassador would make practical contributions to advancing bilateral ties.

Meeting Norwegian Ambassador Stein Iversen, the Vietnamese leader welcomed the conclusion of negotiations between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) on a free trade agreement, saying it would open up new opportunities for trade and investment.

He called for effective implementation of the Green Strategic Partnership, with a focus on maritime cooperation, drawing on Norway’s strengths and experience as a maritime power, as well as cooperation in renewable energy, green transition, fisheries, climate change response, and science and technology.

Receiving Dutch Ambassador Remco van Wijngaarden, Mr. Lam outlined major orientations for elevating bilateral ties in the new era. He called for stronger political trust through regular high-level exchanges and suggested studying the possibility of direct flights between Vietnam and the Netherlands to enhance trade, tourism and people-to-people connectivity.

He also called for stronger cooperation to make Vietnam and the Netherlands models of maritime economic development and sustainability.

At a meeting with Belgian Ambassador Pieter Leenknegt, Mr. Lam called on the two sides to generate stronger momentum in investment cooperation and promote the role of Vietnam and Belgium as gateways connecting ASEAN and the European Union.

He also proposed making science, technology and innovation priority areas of bilateral cooperation.

Receiving Brazilian Ambassador Marcelo Paz Saraiva Camara, the Vietnamese top leader called for close adherence to the Action Plan for implementing the Vietnam-Brazil Strategic Partnership for 2025-2030. He urged stronger exchanges and political dialogue at various levels and through different channels, greater facilitation of trade and investment, and expanded cooperation in areas where the two countries have complementary strengths.

He also called for continued coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums.

At a meeting with French Ambassador Didier Le Bret, Mr. Lam expressed his confidence that, with his extensive diplomatic experience, the ambassador would have a successful tenure and contribute to further deepening the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a substantive and effective manner.
