The industry has benefited from the gradual recovery in global consumer demand, while domestic manufacturers have adapted their production strategies to changing market conditions, helping sustain export growth and increase the value added of their products. Upstream products, fibers, non-woven fabrics, accessories, and other textile materials recorded particularly strong growth during the period.

The increase in these product groups points to a shift in Vietnam’s textile and garment industry away from basic cut-and-sew processing toward greater participation in the supply of materials for global production chains.
