Rice ranks 4th among Vietnam’s five export products to Malaysia which earned 100 million USD in the reviewed period. The other four products are phones and accessories; computers, electronic devices and accessories; iron and steel; and glass products.
Pham Quoc Anh, Vietnamese Commercial Counselor to Malaysia, said the increase of Vietnamese rice exports to Malaysia was a result of reduced rice exports from other countries. Vietnamese businesses promoted their rice through seminars, fairs, and exhibitions on food and other agricultural products.
