Organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Vietnam Private Capital Agency (VPCA), and DO Ventures, the Summit aims to mobilize and channel investment resources into science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, with a strong emphasis on private capital participation.
NIC Deputy Director Kim Ngoc Thanh Nga said that VIPC 2026 aims to strengthen the mechanisms for connection and exchange between the government, investors, businesses, innovative tech startups, and domestic and international partners.
“Through this year's Summit, we want to showcase a rapidly transforming Vietnam to the international investment and technology community, specifically in regard to expanding and improving the efficiency of financial mechanisms for science, technology, and innovation,” said Nga.
A highlight of this year’s Summit will be the release of the 2026 Vietnam Technology and Innovation Investment Report, and a signing ceremony for coordinated implementation of strategic technology investment programs to strengthen international connectivity.
According to Max-F.Scheichenost, a founding member of the VPCA and a former partner at Mekong Capital, the 2026 Vietnam Innovation and Private Capital Report, which will be officially launched at the Summit, tells a compelling story: private equity has reached all-time highs, venture capital has returned to growth, and international investors from the US, Europe, and Japan are coming back in force.
“AI investment has multiplied many times over in just two years. Vietnam-founded startups with global operations had a breakout year in 2025. Vietnam is no longer asking to be taken seriously as an investment destination. The data shows it already is," Max noted.
VIPC Summit 2026 will bring together government leaders, representatives from ministries, sectors, and localities, major domestic and international technology corporations, global investment funds and financial institutions, pioneering tech firms, unicorn startups, innovative enterprises, and experts from top domestic and international research institutes and universities.
