Developed in line with Politburo Resolution No. 80 on Vietnamese cultural development and VOV’s strategy to diversify its radio offerings, the channel aims to bring orchestral and chamber music, jazz, and other works of artistic excellence closer to the public. Speaking about the channel’s debut, Thu Cuc, an editor at VOV3’s Literature, Arts and Music Department, said: “The first edition of Sonata FM 89 will air on October 20, a very special day for editors at Voice of Vietnam. We select pieces that honor Vietnamese women and hope listeners will enjoy the music.”
On VOV Sonata FM 89, listeners can start their day with uplifting melodies in Sounds of the Sun, enjoy classical symphonies in Melodies of Legend, or immerse themselves in concert performances in Concert Hall. Each program offers a distinct mood and musical style, contributing to a diverse and enriching listening experience.
VOV Sonata FM 89 will broadcast around the clock on 89 MHz FM.
