“As there’s little time left, work at the site has to continue day and night, even during the National Day holiday. Everyone hopes the project will be completed on schedule so that students can have a new school with proper accommodation and learning facilities,” said worker Ngo Huu Lam.
The Dakrong Ethnic Minority Boarding School is designed to accommodate more than 1,000 students. As of August 27, construction was estimated to be 85% complete.
Construction is also underway on ethnic minority boarding school projects in Huong Phung, Dan Hoa and Thuong Trach communes in Quang Tri Province.
“These projects are of special significance, directly serving students in remote, isolated and border areas. We are working closely with contractors to ensure that the schools are fully operational and ready for inauguration on September 5,” Truong Huu Hieu, representing the project owner, said.
