The two-day event, which concluded Saturday, brought together 244 contestants representing 107 teams from 73 educational institutions across the province.
Competitors took part in five categories covering basic and advanced mission-based robotics, future innovation and Sumo robot combat.
The competition also served as a selection event for teams that will represent Gia Lai at the national finals at Quy Nhon University from August 21 to 23. About 500 contestants from 165 teams from Vietnam and abroad are expected to compete.
One team has already secured an international opportunity. Ngo May Primary School’s TH Ngo May 1 team, winner of the B1 category, will represent Gia Lai at the WRO Open Championship in India in September 2026.
The event is part of efforts to promote robotics and technological skills among students while encouraging innovation and STEM education.
