The forum, themed “Advanced Energy Development for Strategic Technology Industries,” was jointly organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) under Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance and EXCEL Services Corporation of the United States.
Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center, said: “As Vietnam prioritizes high-tech industries, innovation and digital transformation, advanced energy is playing an increasingly crucial role and with the goal of achieving double-digit growth from 2026, the energy sector must move one step ahead. Vietnam has therefore introduced various mechanisms and policies to promote high-quality technology industries. Energy development and expanded international cooperation are among the country’s top priorities, laying the foundation for sustainable growth in the coming period.”
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology said Vietnam is continuing to improve its legal framework, planning and policy mechanisms for new energy development, including nuclear power, in line with international safety standards and domestic conditions.
Mr. Anh said: “Vietnam has taken important steps in developing policies and strategies for advanced energy. From gradually completing the legal framework to strengthening implementation capacity, the initial foundations have been established relatively clearly. Vietnam hopes to continue receiving cooperation and support from international partners, regulators, research organizations and technology enterprises.”
The forum is expected to help strengthen international cooperation, attract high-quality resources and gradually build a solid energy foundation for Vietnam’s strategic technology industries.
