Since the beginning of the year, Phuong Liet ward authorities have been reviewing all local food businesses and catering services, and conducting training sessions and public awareness campaigns on food safety regulations.

The ward has also established communication groups on the Zalo messaging platform, connecting relevant authorities, health stations, and food businesses to facilitate information sharing and oversight.

The public awareness campaigns have been carried out through both physical and digital platforms.

Ngo Minh Hong, Vice Chairwoman of the Phuong Liet ward People's Committee, said, task forces from different sectors, together with the local medical station, have guided and supported food businesses.

“Public participation in monitoring activities has significantly improved management effectiveness. We prioritize prevention by making digital transformation a key management tool, combining communication and guidance with strict inspections, and encouraging community oversight. Businesses should regard food safety compliance as part of their brand value so this model can be expanded," Hong added.

As Le Trong Tan street is home to 25 food suppliers and 60 restaurants, eateries, and street food vendors, local authorities have provided tailored guidance to help them meet food safety standards.

"Since the food safety street was launched, we’ve received comprehensive training to ensure the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Product quality is always our top priority. We guarantee that every ingredient has a clear, traceable origin, and inspections are strictly carried out to maintain food safety at every stage," said Bui Minh Tri, manager of the GoGi restaurant on Le Trong Tan street.

Restaurants and food outlets along Le Trong Tan street are now strictly complying with food hygiene and safety regulations.

Cao Viet Bac, manager of the Lau Viet Restaurant, said that a business can only achieve sustainable growth when customers trust the quality of its products. Today's consumers care about taste, price, safety, and transparency.

“Complying with food safety regulations gives businesses a competitive advantage, increases revenue, and supports long-term development. Customers' satisfaction and trust are the true measures of an establishment's quality," said Bac.

To strengthen supervision, the Phuong Liet ward People's Committee has developed a Digital Food Safety Map, which enables authorities to update records, monitor compliance, and conduct inspections more efficiently, while allowing residents to easily access information on certified businesses.

"The dining establishments here have changed noticeably. They are cleaner, tidier, and more organized. Their food safety certificates give me much greater confidence when using their services," said Tran Hong Hanh, a resident of Le Trong Tan street.

Backed by decisive local authorities and responsible businesses, the food safety control model is helping build a culture of safe, sustainable commerce while supporting the continued growth of trade and services in Phuong Liet ward.
