(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam has urged Ha Giang province to unleash its resources to boost the local growth, focusing on tourism, border trade, and agro-forestry.

At a meeting with the Party Committee of Ha Giang province on Thursday, the Party leader said: “The province needs to develop a sustainable and multifunctional agricultural economy, focusing on smart agriculture and organic products, in association with sustainable tourism. Ha Giang province should invest in smart infrastructure for transportation, border gates, logistics services, healthcare, and education."
"Promoting the digital economy and e-commerce is particularly crucial for remote areas like Ha Giang. Additionally, greater attention should be given to the management and development of forests and water resources which have great impact on the province’s sustainable growth,” added the Party leader.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam, along with leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense, presented 20 gifts to families of national contributors and poor households.
The same day, General Secretary To Lam offered flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at his statue in the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee headquarters.
