(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has ordered the urgent deployment of a campaign to build schools in border communes, adding that the construction of 100 schools must be completed before August 30, 2026.

At a meeting on Sunday evening in Hanoi, the Prime Minister also requested construction of boarding houses for students and teachers.
“This is the direction of the Politburo, so we must do it quickly, thoroughly, and gradually expand it. First of all, we must utilize the available funds and call on benefactors, as many people want to contribute. The campaign must be successful and meaningful,” Mr. Chinh said.

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Education and Training to swiftly finalize the Government’s draft resolution on building 100 schools in border communes. The Ministry of Construction was asked to design a school model suitable to the needs of students and to the culture, terrain, and weather conditions of each region.
