The event also marked the 18th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Veterans of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea.
Members revisited the heroic era of the legendary "ships without numbers" and honored the sacrifices made by generations of officers and sailors of the Vietnam People's Navy—including those from the heroic Brigade 125—in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Colonel Pham Minh Chien, Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 125 (Naval Region 2), said: "The tradition of the ‘ships without numbers’ is preserved not merely through historical accounts, but must be manifested in the quality of training, professional expertise, sense of responsibility, and the mission-execution results of every officer and sailor."
"Brigade 125 will continue to cultivate the fortitude, willpower, and determination to accept and successfully fulfill all assigned tasks, thereby contributing to the steadfast defense of the nation’s sacred sovereignty over its seas and islands," Chien said.
