The photographs showcase the beauty of Vietnam’s seas and islands and portray island soldiers and fishermen, and the close ties between soldiers and local communities.
Photographer Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, said that the photos show the work and daily lives of the Vietnam People’s Navy and other forces at sea. They feature soldiers training, patrolling and protecting the national sovereignty, as well as the daily lives of soldiers and local people, he said, adding that "the exhibition also captures the beautiful and majestic landscapes of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, DK1 platforms and other seas and islands of Vietnam.”
The exhibition is co-organized by the Vietnam Veterans Newspaper, the Soldiers’ Photography Club, and the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Photographic Artists.
